Precautions for Using the Bending Machine

Bending machine is a kind of mechanical equipment used for sheet metal processing, which is widely used in manufacturing industry, especially in metal structure, shipbuilding, automobile, aviation, construction, furniture and other industries, it is indispensable equipment. Today, we would like to introduce to you the precautions to be taken when using a bending machine:

1, Basic safety requirements

The staff must strictly abide by the safety operating procedures, wear labor protective equipment as required, such as helmets, goggles, gloves, overalls and so on.

Before operating the bending machine, in order to protect the safety of the staff and the normal operation of the equipment, please check the environment around the machine tool to ensure that there is no debris piled up.

2, The inspection of equipment before starting

Before starting the bending machine, the staff must carry out a comprehensive inspection.

(1) Check whether the motor, switch, wiring and grounding are normal and firm, please ensure that the equipment is running in a good electrical state.

(2) Check whether the manipulation parts and buttons of the equipment are in the correct position to prevent equipment failure or safety accidents caused by incorrect operation.

(3) Check whether the firmness and overlap of the upper and lower molds, as well as whether each positioning device meets the requirements of the processed, to ensure that the equipment can operate stably during the processing.

3, Equipment startup and idling

After the equipment is started, it should be idling for 1~2 minutes, and the upper slide plate full stroke movement for 2~3 times.

In this process, the staff should pay close attention to the running status of the equipment, such as found abnormal sound or fault, should immediately stop, troubleshooting, to ensure that the equipment is running in normal working condition.

4, Safe operation during the work process

In the work process, the staff should strictly abide by the following safety regulations:

(1) One person is responsible for the unified command, to ensure that the operator and the feeding and pressing personnel to work closely together to ensure that the relevant personnel are in a safe position before the bending signal.

(2) In order to avoid bending when the sheet buckling injury, sheet bending must be compacted. When adjusting the sheet pressure mold, you must cut off the power supply, and then operate the machine after it stops running to avoid accidents.

(3) Machine operation found that the workpiece or mold is not correct, it is strictly prohibited to run with the hand correction, should be stopped to correct, in order to prevent injury to the hand.

(4) When changing the opening of the variable lower mold, no material is allowed to contact with the lower mold to avoid equipment damage or safety accidents.

(5) When the machine is working, the back of the machine should not be stood in order to avoid collision or pinching and other safety accidents.

(6) It is strictly prohibited to press and fold the sheet at one end alone to prevent the equipment from losing balance or tilting and other dangerous situations.

(7) It is forbidden to fold extra-thick iron plates or high-grade alloy steel, hardened steel plates, square steel, and plates exceeding the performance of the plate bending machine, so as to avoid damaging the machine or causing safety accidents.

5, Abnormal processing and shutdown operation

During the operation of the equipment, if abnormal situation is found, the machine should be shut down immediately to check the cause of abnormality and remove it in time. Before shutting down the machine, in order to prevent the equipment from falling due to self-weight and causing damage after shutting down, please place wooden blocks on the lower mold under the cylinder on both sides and lower the upper slide plate onto the wooden blocks. Finally, please exit the control system program first, and then cut off the power supply to ensure that the equipment is safely shut down.
