As a commonly used equipment in the field of metal processing, shearing machine is mainly used to cut metal plates into specific sizes and shapes. Its working process around the power transmission, plate fixation, tool cutting three core links to start, through the mechanical structure and control system to achieve efficient and accurate cutting operations.

 

Shearing machine consists of machine body, worktable, press device, knife frame and transmission system. The machine body is the supporting framework of the equipment, for other components to provide the basis for installation and stable support; worktable for placing the plate to be processed, its surface flat, to ensure accurate positioning of the plate; pressure device in the shear before the plate is pressed to prevent the plate from shifting, affecting the accuracy of the processing; knife installed on the upper and lower blades, driven by the transmission system to achieve the shear action; the transmission system is the shearer's power hub, common Types include mechanical transmission, hydraulic transmission and CNC transmission.

 

Mechanical drive shearer relies on mechanical parts such as gears and crankshaft to transmit power. After the motor is started, the power is transmitted to the gear set through the belt pulley, which further reduces the speed and increases the torque, driving the crankshaft to rotate. The rotary motion of the crankshaft is converted into the up and down reciprocating linear motion of the knife frame, so that the upper blade installed on the knife frame and the lower blade fixed on the table to form a shear force. This transmission method is simple in structure and easy to maintain, but the shear force and speed are relatively fixed, and it is suitable for shearing plates with small thickness and low precision requirements.

 

Hydraulic drive shearer uses hydraulic oil as the medium to transfer power. The hydraulic pump converts the mechanical energy of the motor into the pressure energy of the hydraulic oil, and the high-pressure oil enters the hydraulic cylinder through the pipeline, pushing the piston to drive the knife frame movement. Compared with mechanical transmission, the advantage of hydraulic shearing machine is that the shear force is large and adjustable, can easily cope with the cutting of thicker plates, and the shearing process is smooth, low noise, higher cutting accuracy, widely used in the processing of medium and thick plates.

 

CNC shearing machine, on the other hand, is based on the hydraulic shearing machine with the addition of CNC system. The operator inputs parameters such as plate size and number of cuts through the control panel, and the CNC system controls the hydraulic system and the movement of the cutter frame according to the preset program, realizing automation and high-precision cutting. CNC shears can also be connected to computer-aided design (CAD) systems to directly read the cutting data in the design drawings, reducing manual input errors and significantly improving production efficiency and processing accuracy, commonly used in processing scenarios with high accuracy requirements and mass production.

 

In practice, no matter what type of shearing machine, the workflow is basically the same. First of all, the operator will be processed plate placed on the table, and through the positioning device to adjust the position of the plate; subsequently, the pressure device to start, the use of springs or hydraulic cylinders generated by the pressure of the plate will be firmly fixed; then, the drive system drives the knife frame drives the upper blade downward movement, when the upper and lower blades contact the plate, under the action of the shear force, the plate is separated along the edge of the knife, to complete the action of a cutter. After the cutting is completed, the knife frame is reset, the pressure device is released, and the operator takes out the cut sheet for the next processing.

 

Different types of shearing machines have their own characteristics in terms of working principle, but all of them can precisely cut the plate according to the demand through reasonable mechanical structure design and power transmission method.
